Surrey, BC – July 21, 2025
Holland Park came alive this past weekend as the Fusion Festival, one of Canada’s largest multicultural celebrations, returned with vibrant energy, delicious cuisine, and unforgettable performances. Held on July 19 and 20, the annual event featured 50 cultural pavilions representing communities from around the world.
From traditional dance to global flavours and eye-catching attire, Fusion Festival celebrated the richness of diversity that defines the City of Surrey and beyond.
This year, Palestine proudly took home first place for Best Dressed Pavilion, impressing judges and visitors alike with its authentic display of traditional garments, decorative elements, and cultural storytelling. The pavilion stood out not only for its stunning visual presentation but for the Palestinian Pride.
Meanwhile, Pakistan received the prestigious Community Award in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the Surrey Food Bank. The award highlighted the community’s spirit of generosity and commitment to supporting those in need.
Fusion Festival continues to be a beacon of unity, showcasing how cultural celebration and community service go hand in hand. Congratulations to all participating pavilions for making this year’s event a resounding success!
