Islamic Burial Society (IBS) to provide burial plots at reasonable prices.

On Saturday October 22nd, Members and directors of Islamic Burial Society (IBS) announced their intent to serve the community in providing access to burial plots at reasonable costs.
Br Mohammed Janief the president of the society said, “as a growing community with over 120 000 Muslims in BC, we are embarking on a mission to acquire and distribute Burial plots at reasonable prices to the community. As a registered not for profit society our goal is to keep costs low by redistributing the gains from the sale to acquiring more burials plots. This will ensure the community will have plots available at all times.”
Br Feroz Dean past chair of the Board of Trustees of BCMA as a director of IBS also acknowledged the services provided by other organizations. He said our goal is to complement the services and as of now we are only focusing on the burial plots while other organizations will continue to provide the services to the family of the deceased regardless of where the burial plots are located.
Currently the Burial plots are available at Vedder View cemetery in Chilliwack for $5000. They also have a payment option plan.
