HCDSB Celebrates Islamic History Month

At the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB), our students will be exploring Islamic faith in virtual workshops alongside our community partner, the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM).
The National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM)? is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit organization that protects Canadian human rights and civil liberties, challenges discrimination and Islamophobia, builds mutual understanding, and advocates for the public concerns of Canadian Muslims.
During the workshops, students, their teachers and workshop facilitators will explore stereotypes and diversity in the media. Storytelling will also be used to critically deconstruct current narratives and myths about Islam. *Please note that these sessions are for students only.
