3-07-2018

Monday February 26, 2018 a roundtable discussion was held in surrey with the South Asian media about the recent Budget by the Newly elected BC NDP Government.

Andrew believes the public has been misled on many issues.  He stated: “The NDP before the election stated a $10 a day daycare they have broken that promise, The have said the renters would get an annual rent rebate of $400 they have broken that promise, they had promised student a completion grant they have broken that promise, they promised interest free student loans, they have broken that promise.”

Andrew said If the economy starts to shrink and the taxes rise then regular people will suffer.

“Natural gas sector the NDP is projecting a 60% drop in revenue, their economic growth projection is 2.3% but their spending growth is 4%.”

About the so-called employer health tax Andrew said “This is clearly a tax grab that the NDP needs to balance the Budget.” This will affect small and mid-sized businesses in the community, which will be brought in a year before MSP is eliminated.

This reckless tax is a huge threat to British Columbia’s economy. Family-owned businesses, non-profits, school boards, and police boards are all being saddled with a new heavy tax burden, and many are being forced to consider layoffs or higher prices for their customers.

On legalization of Cannabis he assumes the Cannabis will be checked for safety and quality through the government controlled distribution centers. He States: “This Problem is created by NDP” that the  retailers are not ready to set up on time.

When asked about Jaspal Atwa connection with the BC Liebral party, Andre said he is “not aware of the Status of Atwal he would have to check with the Membership Committee.”
