Victims of 1984 Sikh Genocide remembered in Surrey

Radical Desi and Indians Abroad for Pluralist India today honoured Kamal Arora for her research on the victims of 1984 anti Sikh massacre engineered by the Indian state. Among those who presented her with the Research Excellence Award for keeping alive the memory of the pogrom and opening eyes of the world to the blot on the history of India were MLA Rachna Singh, Human Rights activist Amandeep Singh, Dashmesh Darbar Spokesman Gian Singh Gill , Alameen Post publisher Jafar Bhamji and Radical Desi cofounder Parshotam Dosanjh. The event was started with poems dedicated to the victims of 1984 and recited by progressive Punjabi poet Amrit Diwana.
