Canada 150 logo incorporated in AlameenPost Corporate look

7-11-2017

Alameen Post is honoured to be accepted by Department of Canadian Heritage to use the Canada 150 logo with our Alameen Logo till December 31st, 2017.

The Canada 150 logo was selected from 302 entries, in the contest that ended Jan. 23,2015.

Canadian students were invited to create the official logo for the 150th anniversary of Confederation through a national design contest.

Ariana Cuvin, a second-year student in the University of Waterloo’s global business and digital arts program was the winning design in a nation-wide competition.

The logo is composed of a series of diamonds, or “celebratory gems”, arranged in the shape of the iconic maple leaf. The four diamonds at the base represent the four original provinces that formed Confederation in 1867: Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Additional diamonds extend out from the base to create nine more points—in total representing the 13 provinces and territories.

The Canada 150 logo may be used for commercial or non-commercial use if permission is first obtained from the Government of Canada.
