Muslim Food Bank hosted their annual fundraiser.

On February 25th, Muslim Food Bank and Community Services ("MFBCS") hosted their annual fundraiser. Alhamdulilah, it was an amazing and successful evening. MFBCS was able to host esteemed guest speaker; Sheik Riad Ouarzazi.
The Sheik along with volunteers helped in raising $150 000 with between 350 to 400 people present. These funds will enable the MFBCS to provide aid for the growing number of clients.
Currently approximately  600 families come through the MFBCS doors each month! MC, Mohammed Imran Ali along with the Syrian youth folklore dance kept everyone entertained. The MC even dedicated a beautiful nasheed to all the volunteers.
Brothers Richard Lau, Mohammed Asad Asadullah and Sisters Sanaa Majid and Mehmoona Ali spoke on the various programs run by MFBCS. Politicians MLA Mr. Bruce Ralston, MP. Mr. Ken Hardie, MLA Harry Bains, MLA Sue Hummel, Jgrup Brar, Ms. Jinny Sims,Mr. Bilal Cheema, and Mr. Yousef Barakat all spoke for a few minutes showing their support for this great cause.
The evening ended by a short speech and vote of thanks by MFBCS Directors Brother Azim Dahya and Brother Musa Ismail.
