Irreparable loss: Abdul Sattar Edhi left this world

The entire humanity has suffered an irreparable loss when Abdul Sattar Edhi left this world after a prolong illness.
IInna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
He lived a simple, selfless life, full of sacrifices and marked up the par-excellence example of humanity in this world. He was not just a great philanthropist and a true hero who inspired millions to serve humanity, but also a sincere human being who served lives until his last breath. Though, he may not be with us anymore in the physical sense, the candle of hope that he lit will continue to enlighten the path of all those who strive to serve and live for others. Indeed, we need more people like him to make this world a better place filled with peace and prosperity.
We stand with the world to pray tribute to Mr. Edhi, one of the greatest role models of this era who had left numerous unique examples of giving, charity and generosity for humanity in general and orphans in particular. We can honor him best by following his footsteps of helping humanity in any way we can and by being as simple and humble as possible.
May Allah, the Almighty, bless his soul with immense reward and help us follow his footsteps in serving the humanity, regardless of color, caste, creed or religion.
In 2010 when I was working on a UN project for developing the National Fire & Safety Policy of Pakistan, Mr. Edhi desired to meet with me and it was an honor for me to meet this wonderful person. The attached picture, of course a great memoir, reflect our long meeting and discussion to improve the safety and security of the people of Pakistan.
