Al Jamia Masjid Vancouver Statement on Lahore bombing on Easter

The Pakistan Canada Association - Al Jamia Masjid Vancouver joins the nation of Pakistan, our Christian community and the world in mourning and in condemnation of the cruelly timed bombing at Gulshan - e Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan that has claimed the lives of at least 65 people, maimed scores of others and injured hundreds.
On this Easter Monday a very special day of resurrection, rebirth, hope and good will to all mankind celebrated by Christians the world over and respected by every religion on Earth we are reminded yet again of the evil that lurks and are strengthened by our solidarity to stand with one another and to defeat it.
A verse from the Holy Quran: O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.

We pray for peace and may Allah SWT protect and keep us all.
