Eid ul fitr prayers at eid Gah in Lower mainland

Gone are the days when Eid prayers were held in crowded Masjids in lower mainland Vancouver.
For some time now Mac and Islamic information center has been organizing Eid ul Fitr prayers at the Vancouver convention center.
BCMA initially had organized few Eid prayers at PNE some decades ago abandoned the practice due to high costs and longer commute times for people to arrive at the venue, although people appreciated the event it became too tiring especially for many Muslims living in the suburbs.
Last year, A few BCMA Masjids initiated to pray at the Eid gah at a local level. BCMA Richmond Branch held it the the school playground while Surrey East and Surrey Delta branch collaborated and held Eid Prayers Newton Athletic park.
This year also the event was attended by more than 4000 worshipers.
