Pakistan Festival 2015

7-29-2015

The 2015 edition of the Pakistan Festival will take place on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Holland Park in Surrey. The event is organized by the Pakistan Festival Organizing Committee, which consists of the Pakistan-Canada Association, the Pakistani Canadian Women's Society, the Pakistani Youth Council, and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Vancouver.

This year, the organizers have gone above and beyond all other years, as they have lined up an international singing sensation and humanitarian from Pakistan, Shehzad Roy, who will be performing live at the Pakistan Festival 2015. Shehzad Roy has been a part of the South Asian music scene for two decades now. During this time, he has launched several successful albums, and has also collaborated with the likes of Sukhbir, Abida Parveen, Guns N' Roses, Slash and Brian Adams, among others. Most recently, he also performed at the 2014 Nobel Peace Price award ceremony.

In addition to the performance by Shehzad Roy, the Festival will feature a marvelous display of Pakistan's culture, cuisine, fashion, and music throughout the day, as local vendors, chefs, and artists join hands with the Pakistan Festival Organizing Committee to deliver the most exuberant and largest event ever in the history of the Pakistani community in British Columbia.
