Let's Move Forward

3-24-2015

Congratulations to my fellow Pakistanis for the 75th anniversary of Pakistan Day (March 23rd). It was three-quarters of a century ago that our elders decided to achieve a state where Muslims of Hindustan will be able to practice their religion freely. Their dream was to make it an example of a great Muslim-society for all of mankind to follow.

We have achieved many milestones since the creation of Pakistan in 1947, but the main reason behind the creation of Pakistan is still very far. Even though Allah (SWT) has blessed out motherland with immense talent and resources, we has not fully utilized those resources. I have a firm believe that if the people and government(s) of Pakistan honestly start working towards that goal, inshallah, within 5-10 years Pakistan can very well become the kind of country our forefathers had envisioned on March 23, 1940.

How about us Pakistanis living in foreign countries? Let's be a bit more realistic. First, a reminder to myself and then a request to all Pakistanis, please join each other's events and stop bringing each other down. Allah (SWT) does not like it when our egos stop us from doing something where someone else, and not "me", would get the credit. The kind of bright minds and souls Allah (SWT) has blessed us with, we Pakistanis are capable of doing miracles. Please, let's move forward!

Regards,

Sikandar HAYAT
