Muslim Foster Children in Custody of MCFD Ministry of Children and Family Development

11-05-2014

It is with blessings of Allah SWT that  Muslim Advisory Committee  team has been successful in transferring three children, two girls and a baby from non Muslim environment into a loving and nuturing  Islamic  home.

We were contacted in mid June 2014 and  started to collaborate with several Social Workers and their team leaders and assessed the needs of these children .

There was an urgency that these children and baby be placed immediately into  a Muslim home.

Alhamdo lillah, the Muslim community  offered their services through masjids and became  involved.  We came across a loving family who volunteered to take this challenging step.

The Ministry ‘s lengthy protocol  of screening  is now  been completed and the children are being moved.

We have  made a difference in these children’s lives by being pro active.

Our team worked diligently, to reach our goals, by travelling  to Surrey frequently to attend meetings at our own expenses .

My sincere appreciation to sister Fatima Nasser and David Ali for their unconditional support and commitment.

We look forward to  Muslim community  for their support in future as well.

Farida Bano Ali,

Chairperson for Muslim Advisory Committee for MCFD- Ministry of Children and Family Development for muslim Foster Children.
