Pakistan at Crossroads

8-27-2014

Since August 14th, 2014, traditionally, 67th independence day, Pakistan has been frozen in time, where the clear difference between truth and falsehood is evident, for all to see, hear, and feel.

On one side – the “Status-quo” – gathered are all the evil forces and masterminds of outright corruption, wholesale injustice, masters of white lies, murderers, and thugs. The gangs of thugs and mafia comprising of political leadership, judiciary, bureaucrats, technocrats, and sold out Pakistani media, that has done nothing but bankrupted the country.

On the other side are average Pakistanis that have taken to the streets, across the nation, and even virtual world, camping out, with the largest gathering in Capital City, Islamabad, near the Parliament house on Constitution Avenue, undeterred weathering hot summer days, and weathering monsoon rains at night determined to bring about the long over change which Pakistan is in dire need of, determined not to leave until the recently and fraudulently, massive vote rigging, elected, May 11, 2013, Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif hands in his resignation. The crowds determination is such that upon hearing the news that the Supreme Court Justice has rendered a decision, calling this camp-out illegal and be removed, the crowd started digging graves right in D-Chowk, a vast open area in front of the parliament, which overshadows Egypt’s Tahrir Square, and being dubbed as Azadi (Freedom) Square. He crowd is determined, Victory or Death!

The center of these gatherings is two political leaders of different paths with one goal – Rid Pakistan’s Corrupt Political Mafia Inc. from Pakistan’s political scene and bring about a paradigm change – Naya Pakistan – New Pakistan. A Pakistan where rule of law gains supremacy, replace western backed “Fake Democracy” with a true democracy on basis of justice, equality, social welfare, and above all, rule of law.

The largest group of revolutionaries, across the country and into virtual world are led by Imran Khan, Pakistan’s national hero, an athlete, Pakistan Cricket team’s former captain who led the team to the prestigious world cup victory, a philanthropist who used his fame to serve the poor and needy of Pakistan. He has donated his entire wealth in founding a state of the art cancer hospital, Shaukat Khanum Hospital, which provides free treatment to the poor and needy, now working on second such hospital, founder of Pakistan’s only western recognized university, founder of a political party, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf,  PTI, (Justice Movement), which if elections were held free and fair would have certainly formed the government in May 2013, thus forcibly accepted being official opposition.

Imran Khan’s PTI, strikes a chord with Pakistanis across all spectrums and walks of life, young and old, educated and blue collar, he is especially the youth. The second group of revolutionaries in a similar manner are being led by a Canadian Scholar, Dr. Tahir ul Qadri, whose demands, goals and objectives are similar Imran Khan, and also command respect and following among Pakistanis. Whereas, Mr. Khan does have an edge over Mr. Qadri; Imran Khan has a long standing track record of serving the nation, he literally founded the party which he leads now, have remained in Pakistan all his life and have donated everything he owned towards welfare projects. He is uncompromising, while building the party have never settled, or chosen to become strange bedfellow with Pakistan Political Mafia in past. His stand and speeches from past have always have been consistent. The most important part is, he never left his post, whereas, Dr. Qadri, for the past five years had been altogether Missing in Action in Canada, and have suddenly decided to resurface, thus creating an aura of suspicion behind his motives and intention.

However, on the basis of principles and upon learning, that he is re-entering politics, and will be leading a march, few days before his departure from Toronto, the provincial government, Shahbaz Sharif, Premier of Pakistan’s largest populated province, Punjab, who just happened to be current Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif’s younger brother is being linked to ordering an operation on Dr. Qadri’s Secretariat, where at least 18 people were killed cold-blooded, two among them a pregnant women, and more than seventy people were injured. No police report has been filed, the police refuses to register the case, all police officers involved in an operation, which was in fact being led by Lahore, Pakistan’s second largest city’s known thug, Gullu Butt, have ignited a fire among all of Dr. Qadri’s supporters, and drawing sympathies from people from all walks of life over this blatant disregard of law and injustice by those who claim to be the law makers, the champions of democracy in Pakistan.

Both leaders whom have camped out with their thousands of supporters outside the parliament in heat and rain, have made it clear – unequivocally – that they will not leave until the PM resigns, they have not dug trenches, rather their graves, and Mr. Qadri has clearly waved white piece of cloth representing his shroud.

On the other hand, its becoming so obvious that Pakistan so-called “Democracy” is nothing but a mere a façade of a fake democracy, an outright hypocrisy. The two main ruling parties, in fact two families that have presided over the country’s affairs over the past four decades, Bhutto=Zardari, Pakistan Peoples Party , and PMLN, Pakistan Muslim League “Nawaz” – a political party bearing its leader’s name, clearly demonstrates the ownership of the family representing family’s interests and not of Pakistanis.

Both individual families have accused each other of thievery, stockpiling tax-payers money in personal bank accounts in Switzerland, building mansions in Pakistan, as well as posh areas of UAE, Surrey, and central UK, and building business empires overseas.

The two revolutionaries caught the Political Mafia Status quo off guard and in an interesting and surprising events the entire all actors of Pakistan’s Corrupt Political Mafia Inc. Political Leaders, Zardari-Sharif, and smaller parties which have supported their governments in past for personal gains and benefits, judiciaries, and sold out media have banned together to undermine these two revolutionary groups and their leaders.

Our hats of two both Imran Khan, and Dr. Tahir ul Qadri for their noble stand cause for an average Pakistani who dos not even know whether or not he will be able to feed his children the next meal. May Allah protect you and your supporters, and may Allah grant you the victory. (Ameen)
