Family Picnic Organized by ICNA-Canada Vancouver Chapter

8-27-2014

ICNA Canada organized a Family Picnic at Peace Arch Park on Aug 17th. We had overwhelming support from the community at this year’s picnic. Close to four hundred community members enjoyed a beautiful day at the park. Kids enjoyed games and jumping castle while adults were busy eating BBQ and socializing with each other. Medals and trophies were given to winners of the gams and all other kids enjoyed sweet treat from the goody bags each one received. Sisters also enjoyed food, games and comfortable seating inside the picnic shelter. May Allah accept the efforts of all volunteers…aameen

Vision

ICNA Canada’s vision is to build an Exemplary Canadian Muslim Community - A community that sets path towards personal excellence in faith, worship and morality and shares basis for the moral, social, and economic development of the Canadian Society.

Goal of ICNA Canada

Striving for this vision would help us achieve our goal that is to seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT) by total submission to Him and through the propagation of true and universal message of Islam, which was revealed by Allah (SWT) in the last book, “Al-Qur’an” and through His last messenger, Muhammad (SAW).

The propagation of true and universal message of Islam is only possible in Canada when whole Canadian Muslim Community transformed into a Dawah community by practicing and propagating the true Islamic Way of Life.

With the vision of building an exemplary Canadian Muslim community it is very important to spread the word of Islam, develop those who accepts to walk along, create an effective team of these people and extend our hands to help all human kind without any bias.

This transforms into following four mandated roles that are necessary to realize our vision.

1.       Dawah and Outreach

a)      Calling our brothers and sisters to Islam through Qur’an Halqas, Family and youth program, Picnics and Camps.

b)      Reaching to humanity at large by Dawah booths, Street dawah, Social media and web based dawah project like “WhyIslam” and “Gain Peace”

2.       Learning and Development (Tarbiyah)

a)      Muslim Children of North America (Weekend School for kids).

b)      Youth Halaqah

c)       Study Circles

3. Organization

4. Services to Humanity: Domestic and international relief programs by ICNA-Relief Canada

Islamic Circle of North America-Canada is committed to improve the social bonds between members of the community and strengthening our knowledge of one another, especially in a diverse Muslims community that exists in the Vancouver area. Islam also stresses on having more community social events that bring together all members of the community to enjoy and celebrate each other, worship together, and have fun together as families.
