Ramadhan Message from the Premier

As Premier of the Province of British Columbia, it gives me great pleasure to extend greetings to the Muslim community as they embark on the month-long spiritual journey of Ramadan.
British Columbia is enriched by the diversity of culture within our province. The kindness and generosity displayed by the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan, and all throughout the year, do so much to foster the compassionate and harmonious society we enjoy in B.C.
This is a special time for worship, prayer, restraint and contemplation. It is also a time to strengthen family relations and community ties, as people come together to honour their spiritual values and share their pride and devotion to their faith.
I commend everyone for participating and I wish you all the best.
