A Message from the Mayor

On behalf of the citizens of Vancouver, and my colleagues on City Council, I want to extend my sincere best wishes to Muslims of B.C. as they enter into Ramadan.
Vancouver has grown to be a culturally dynamic City that celebrates diversity. It is imperative that all Vancouverites be able to celebrate their culture and heritage so that we can all appreciate what makes us unique. These events enrich all of our lives, and help to educate and promote understanding between peoples of all backgrounds.
I commend community groups such as yours that preserve and honour their cultural heritage.
