Vancouver Kashmiri Activists thank Leader of Canada’s NDP Jagmeet Singh for speaking out on Kashmir

Surrey Board of Trade organized a Business Town hall Meeting at Sheraton Hotel in Surrey on August 26, 2019. The guest speaker was Leader of Canada’s NDP Jagmeet Singh. He spoke on issues that matter to his party in the upcoming election and took questions from the Business community for most of his time. Full video can be seen on our website: alameenpost.com
Members of the local Kashmiri community also got a chance to meet him and thank him for his comments. Jagmeet while speaking on the situation in Kashmir and the Indian media reports that things are becoming normal said, “If you have something good happening you want people to come and share it but you are shutting down cell phones, internet, phone lines and you are shutting down media. I have been very loud and clear. I am getting backlash because people don’t like me to criticize India but I am never afraid to do that.”
Br Aurengzeb and Humayun updated Jagmeet about the Protest rally at Holland park and thanked him for his stand. They also asked him for advice of how to proceed to raise awareness in Canada.
Br Auranzeb in his comments after meeting Jagmeet appealed to members of the community to meet our local Politicians and asked them raise our voice and make our friends aware of the situation in Kashmir.
